Conducted by Varun with the quiz content and questions prepared by Aadish and Bhupinder,the event turned out to be a nice quizzing experience altogether.The quiz was a general flavored one,and saw a decent participation.(Yeah,I'll remark 'decent' when a various other sessions were going on at the same time as of the quiz.).We were expecting the prelims to be a high scoring one,but our thought realization only came after dropping hints at almost every question on popular demand.We didn't mind it either,after all people seemed to get into the democracy groove in the wake of upcoming general elections.
The four teams that were shortlisted for the finals were:
Team A:Jyotirmoy Banerjee & Udit Goyal. (Not to mention,Jyotirmoy was joined by Udit only in the finals.He cracked the prelims with a single handed and single minded effort.Kudos !!)
Team B:Anirudh Bishnoi & Vivek Sinha
Team C:Anubhav Rohtagi & Kumar Alok
Team D:Ankit Sachdeva & Abhay Raina
The finals finally began after iterative phone calls to Udit & Jyotirmoy which bore the iterative response of "bus pahuhch gaye yaar".Joined by the four finalists was a meagre but faithful audience.Nevermind.A couple of teams went on to make the final round interesting by giving out some brilliant answers (Stunners included Anubhav & Alok cracking "Operation Wrath of God" and Anirudh & Vivek answering the Indian Express Group connect.Check out the questions for more !!).
In the end,Anirudh & Vivek wrapped up things in great style,followed by Anubhav & Alok.Thus was the day called off.
